Well, I specialised in sculpture when I was younger and loved working with all kinds of materials. Unfortunately this was all before you could record the pieces digitally. Mostly it was large scale and figurative, colourful and dramatic. What a surprise! However, here are a few things I've made over the last few years.
'Big Susan' is made of fibreglass and has been showing off in the old barn as she doesn't yet have a permanent spot. Life size.
This little plaster boy lies beside our little pool in the garden.
The wood carving is from an old bit of pine. Again it is in the garden in summer.

The archway to the garden was built first with cement 'bloccos', topped with old roof tiles and doors made from 100 year old weathered oak. The 'guardian' is made from terra cotta and sprayed bronze.

The 'Rotunda' in the garden we built around a lovely walnut tree. The mosaic is made from old tiles we found in the barn.

In Winter we built a snow dragon outside the house.

and we build garden furniture from the pruned tree branches. First the bridge, then the bench outside the
house.

We have found clay in the nearby river which can be fired in our wood burning stove. This is for small objects. And in time I hope to return to some bigger pieces....although there won't be much bigger than the barn!!
